Launch of the 2026 EARS-Net EQA on 5 May 

Packages containing six swabs with bacterial strains relevant to the EARS-Net surveillance will be shipped to the National EARS-Net EQA Coordinators for further national distribution. The webtool for reporting of results will be opened.

Onsite EURL-PH-AMR Network meeting for EARS-Net on 1 September 2026

Each country can nominate one representative to participate in the first EARS-Net network meeting organised by the EURL-PH-AMR. The meeting will focus on topics related to the EARS-Net EQA including:

• Presentation and discussion of the EARS-Net EQA results from 2021-2025
• Discussion of the outline and usefulness of the EARS-Net EQA reports (laboratory evaluation reports, national report)
• Updates to the EQA scoring system
• Feedback on the EQA organisation
• Concept of the upcoming digital EQA

It is an onsite EURL-PH-AMR network meeting at Technical University of Denmark, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark
